BILL & ROBERT

A story of two black men who fall in love in 1967.

Bill & Robert is a love story told in chronological order between two gay black men in NYC.

Their love blooms just five years after homosexuality was decriminalized in the United States.

Despite their environment and the stigma associated with their sexual identities and their blackness, Bill & Robert are accepting of who they are individually and who they become together.

Although we do not often (if ever) see two black men who are kind to one another, choose to love each other, and spend a life together in the media or in movies and television, we in the black community and in the black and LGBTQIA community know that it exists.
